solutions
Unfortunately, even though we are well informed about online safety, we can still fall victim to online predators. It's easy to think that you won't be the next victim. But what would you do if you were faced with a conversation becoming obscene or harassment? Steps 1. Save any piece of conversations that you are concerned about. Anything that may upset you online is worth saving and showing to an adult. 2. Block the contact from speaking to you. 3. Do not accept any webcam invitations. 4. Tell your parents about what happened. 5. Report the incident. 6. Don't let a bad experience ruin your online life. |
tips
Don't agree to meet with each other face to face or send photographs to the predator to get them to leave you alone. These people try to work on your fear or embarrassment so be aware of this.
It's a useful idea to keep all your conversations filed on your computer for easy access. You may need a log of one. Change your phone number or block theirs if they know your number. It's a good idea to change your email address as well. |
opinion
In our opinion about online predators we have to mention that such people ought to sentenced and get arrested. Punishment of internet predators varies greatly by state so every case is different.
